LDEV 687 is an introduction into essential due diligence activities conducted during pre-development feasibility, site acquisition, and development analyses. Land acquisition activities including back-of-the-envelope and lease analysis, and PSAs, along with site specific analysis of legal and physical challenges and opportunities are introduced in this course.

LDEV 664 uses techniques and applications in using data sources and case study approaches for market analysis for development; analysis for residential development; trade area and market analysis for retail development and market analysis for office.

Design and Development Economy (Intro to Development)
LDEV 667 provides an interface between the physical and financial dimensions in the design and development process to achieve building and project economics. The course introduces students to working with a physical product and financial venture that responds to social and environmental concerns, and ways to market economy and feasibility analysis.

Property Development Agreements and Regulation
LDEV 651 provides an overview of real property, land, and real estate law by exploring issues related to real estate development. The course explores the fundamentals of property law and legal rights in relation to assets. Surveying property issues, tracking the closing process and various real estate documents, the course examines the planning process and roles and responsibilities of municipalities and landowners working together, and the impact of regulatory authorities and laws related to the development process.

LDEV 669 provides a foundation for analysis of income producing property across the retail, office, industrial, land, and multi-family residential sectors.
LDEV 650
Land and Property Development Analysis
LDEV 650 is an introduction to the principles of financial analysis related to the investment and development of real property, including excel-based financial modeling for commercial and residential projects. The course will discuss concepts including structuring of cash flow models for income producing property, creation of amortization tables for debt financing, discounted cash flow analysis, and calculating return to investors.

Development Feasibility and Design II (Capstone)
LDEV 688 allows students to create plans and venture structures for selected residential and non-residential development projects of varying size in multidisciplinary teams, with respect to economic feasibility and cash flow, and site and design plans and cost.

LDEV 684 requires students to have professional practice under approved arrangements with public or private land or real estate development agencies.

Directed Studies (e-Portfolio)
LDEV 685 instructs students to apply strategic plan development theory in practice using both individual and group problems and projects. The course allows students the opportunity to select and showcase development projects and assignments of special interest to them.
